this saturday we spent most of the day together and we went to a gorgeous spot (thanks Sean!) and took some maternity and family pictures for this lovely family. i love you Kim!

families are forever

tomorrow, these two adorable little girls are officially family. they've felt like family since they came to live with the Blaisdells (my mother and father-in-law). tomorrow is the adoption ceremony and they'll be sealed to the family in december, when more family members are in town.

Gobbledigook

A little while ago we got the latest Sigur Ros album.
This post is far too late... but, this song (among many others on the album) is amazing.
Too bad we didn't want to shell out the ridiculous amounts of money it would have been to see them in concert next month.
Maybe they will come back someday when we are rich.



sorry the movie is boring and unchanging. but it sounded better than the video that was posted with changing pictures. just let it play while you proceed to check your email or something... it's worth it. If you feel like it, there are tons of awesome sigur ros videos on youtube to check out.

how amazing is this website? i'll be spending part of my evening here while i edit some wedding photos.
although i'll be way too tempted to just watch the incredible 80's style.
i am in 80's heaven. if there is such a place.

what's a scratch pad?

my great grandma melva is in town visiting this week and next.
she is 92 years old, the granddaughter (or great granddaughter, I can't remember right now) of wilford woodruff and as spunky as i ever remember her.
as animated and outspoken as always.
i love her.





our elders have so many wonderful stories to share with us young people. life was so different when she was our age. she was appalled when we all didn't know what a scratch pad was and that she had to pay $9 for a watch battery.
