pregnant in the army

so, being in the military... there are all sorts of fun things that go with being pregnant... but, i do get a maternity leave (4 weeks before and 6 weeks after the baby is born). and it's good that my job is very part time. however, you just have to see what the horrific maternity uniform looks like. it is a joke. i really couldn't find a good picture of the Class A uniform and AKO isn't letting me log on to get the official picture... so this is what we have to work with.

so the class A uniform looks somewhat like this (this is an air force uniform)... but mine won't be a big dress. the top is the same, but it's only a shirt (they call it a tunic) that looks like the dress with some pants with a huge elastic thing in the front with a weird pouch for your belly.

the ACU's aren't as bad... but still sort of silly.
i am not looking forward to being made look like a freak. thank you uncle sam.

That doesn't look like too much fun. But it's very exciting that you will be a having a new baby at home and that you get to spend some time at home before and after.

RRROW! You are going to be the sexiest thing since...wow, I don't know, that's really ugly. Sorry you don't get to wear something more flattering, but you'll be so freakin' cute the rest of the time, it's only fair for the rest of us ;-) Yay for being pregnant!
