If you have kids, print out some coloring pages, do some crafts, or play some games.
Make the switch to toxin-free cleaners in your home.
Try to use the least amount of water as possible. (Shorten your shower time, turn the water off while brushing your teeth, etc).
Set your refrigerator temp! Refrigerator temperatures should be set at about 40 degrees, give or take a degree or two. Freezer temps between 0 and 5 degrees are just right. Colder settings waste energy and won't help food.
Buy as little as possible and avoid items that come in lots of packaging. (This is easy for us since the Bishop of our ward has challenged us this week to not go to the grocery store, to see if we can make it just a week on what we have).
Cook a special Earth Day meal. Plan a menu that uses locally produced foods, is healthy and has minimal impact on the environment. Favour vegetable and bean products, as these use less resources to grow than mass-farmed meat.
Ride your bike or walk somewhere instead of driving.
Turn off the TV and other electronics.

Yay for Earth Day! I didn't know about the fridge temp. I'll have to try that one.
